Us, humans have always been way too foolish. We always commit wrong doings and in the end, make our world a bit smaller than before.
In Christian-ism, humans are the image of God. God, made human like him, but a level lower than the angels. (Just like in the song "The majesty and glory of your name", I will include an excerpt just to justify this claim. "You have given man a crown of glory and honor, And have made him a little lower than the angels. You have put him in charge of all creation".)
He created humans to rule over the world and all the things that comes with it.
In Islam, or the religion of Muslims, they believe that humans came from a clot of blood made by Allah, and at the same time created the jinn (or Al-Jinn, the the 72nd sura of the Qur'an with 28 ayat) from the fire.
In Buddhism, a human, is nothing more than a composite of five aggregates(khandas) namely, Physical forms (rupa), Feelings or sensations (vedana), Ideations (sanna), Mental formations or dispositions (sankhara), Consciousness (vinnana).
And so on with the other religions (too many religions to enumerate their point of view in human or human nature).
To put it all in a single way, Humans have and always been an imperfect creation of God (or Gods). We are created to live in this world. But not to destroy the things that were given to us. We, are made to abide by the rules our own respective religion has given us. We are beings that can't achieve the knowledge of God. But some are too feeble minded to realize that. They keep on trying to create or to recreate the world, only leading it to its destruction. Man have invented bombs that can wipe out a city in a second. And continued to act God and recreate what has been created only for their own selfish gain.
In a man's life, about 10-20% of his decision are right, and the rest, 80-90% would be classified as decisions that are thought to be right, in other words, wrong. But, there can be exceptions in every rule. Even if we, and the people around us think that a decision is right, the fact is, a slight miscalculation may turn this right decision into a horrible action. Destroying things, and taking lives of innocent people. But, even wrong doings can become deeds sometimes. Again, with a single miscalculation, an event can be turned up for the better. A single action of crime for the eyes of man, maybe a deed for the eyes of our creator. But, but, and but, this instances are unlikely to happen this days. Because, once a man, plunges to the pits of despair, he can commit something that may make his life unbearably sad. He can make events that would be nagging his conscience to death. And he may make a simple snap of his fingers into a worldly phenomena that may endanger all lives in Earth.
Most of all he can turn right to wrong. And, wrong to right. But, the question "When could a man make that move?" would be answered, only, when man made his last and final move. He may checkmate the things that threaten his race, or he may threaten his race instead.
Because man, is so imperfect, and no matter what intelligent he gains, even if his IQ or Intelligent Quotient reaches 500 or even 1000, it will always still be the same. Man can both lead his race to its success or to its extinction. And that's when the right becomes wrong, while the wrong becomes right.
